Dallas Donnell is a PhD student in the American Studies program at the University of Maryland. Donnell received his B.A. from the University of Chicago in 2010 with a degree in Comparative Race and Ethnic Studies. Prior to entering graduate school, Donnell spent eight years doing communications and organizing work for a variety of racial and social justice organizations. Donnell’s academic interests include Black popular music, politics, and social movements after the 1960s.
