JACOB MCMURRAY
Director of Curatorial, Collections & Exhibits
Jacob McMurray joined MoPOP in 1994 during the initial development of the institution and has held several positions, including Curatorial Assistant, Researcher, Associate Curator, Curator, and Senior Curator. During that time, he has organized over twenty exhibitions covering many facets of popular culture. In November 2018, he transitioned to his current role of Director of Curatorial, Collections & Exhibits, overseeing those teams in creating the curatorial vision of MoPOP and developing collaborative, thought-provoking, and community-focused content for the museum’s audiences.
AMALIA KOZLOFF
Curator
Amalia Kozloff is the Curator at MoPOP and the Curator for Hidden Worlds: The Films of LAIKA. She joined MoPOP in 2019 and has curated multiple exhibitions since then including Body of Work: Tattoo Culture, Rise Up: Stonewall and the LGBTQ Rights Movement, Contact High: A Visual History of Hip Hop, and Ruth Carter: Afrofuturism in Costume Design. She has previously worked at museums, private collections, and galleries throughout the US and Europe.
STEFANIE TERASAKI
Associate Curator/Associate Registrar
Stefanie is the Associate Curator/Assistant Registrar and splits her time between the Curatorial and Collections departments at MoPOP. She is the Associate Curator for Hidden Worlds: The Films of LAIKA. She started at MoPOP in her current capacity in 2018 and has curated multiple exhibitions including Ruth Carter: Afrofuturism in Costume Design, Contact High: A Visual History of Hip Hop, and Heroes and Villains: The Art of the Disney Costume. She is also the creator of MoPOP’s Guest Curator Program that launched in 2022. Her background includes fundraising, and archives and project management.

BRIAN MCLEAN
Director of Rapid Prototype – Coraline
Brian McLean was awarded a Scientific and Engineering Oscar® plaque in 2016 for pioneering the use of 3D printers in stop-motion animated characters. In 2017, he received an Academy Award® nomination for Best Visual Effects for his contributions to Kubo and the Two Strings. In 2009, Brian won an Annie Award for Special Achievement in Animation for his work on Coraline and, following the release of ParaNorman, was named by "Variety" as one of 2012's "Animation Elite.” Prior to LAIKA, Brian worked as a traditionally trained sculptor and model maker for print and TV ads. He is currently working on Missing Link, LAIKA’s next feature due out in Spring 2019.
NELSON LOWRY
Production Designer – ParaNorman
Nelson Lowry led LAIKA’s stellar production design team for ParaNorman, Kubo and the Two Strings, Missing Link and the studio’s sixth animated feature Wildwood, currently in production. His prior credits include Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride (Art Director), the Christmas comedy Fred Claus (Digital Effects Art Director), and Danny Boyle's Sunshine (Visual Effects Matte Painter). Nelson's work on Eddie Murphy's TV series The PJs earned an Emmy Award® for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation and an Annie Award nomination. He won an Annie Award for Outstanding Achievement in Production Design in an Animated Feature for Kubo and the Two Strings.
OLIVER JONES
Director of Practical Effects – The Boxtrolls
Oliver Jones is Director of Practical Effects and has worked on Missing Link, Kubo and the Two Strings, The Boxtrolls, ParaNorman and LAIKA’s next animated feature Wildwood. He is responsible for all physical and mechanical animation - including puppets, props, and rigging as well as practical effects. Prior to LAIKA, Ollie's credits include The Fantastic Mr. Fox and Tim Burton's The Corpse Bride. He received his BA in sculpture from Chelsea College of Art and his MA in Animation from Royal College of Art, London. He has been with LAIKA since 2007 and was nominated for a VFX Academy Award® for his work on Kubo and the Two Strings.
DEBORAH COOK
Costume Designer– Kubo and the Two Strings
Originally from England, Deborah Cook has designed and built costumes for every LAIKA film. Her designs for Kubo and the Two Strings won a nomination for Excellence in Fantasy Film by the Costume Designers Guild, and she received a Visual Effects Society nomination for Coraline. Detailed, in-depth research, innovation in small-scale fabric technology and expertise in engineered fabric movement has made Deborah the principal stop-motion costume designer. Other film credits include Corpse Bride and The Fantastic Mr. Fox. Deborah earned her BA Honors degree and did post graduate study in fine art sculpture at St. Martin's College in London.
BENOIT DUBUC
Head of Facial Animation – Missing Link
In 2015, Benoit Dubuc joined LAIKA as the Facial Animation Supervisor. He was able to use his experience from the VFX world to implement enhancements to the award-winning studio’s rapid prototype workflow, allowing them to push the performance quality of its Scientific and Technology Oscar®-winning 3D printed facial animation process to a new level. His work on Missing Link was rewarded with two Visual Effects Society (VES) awards: Outstanding Visual Effects in an Animated Feature and Outstanding Animated Character in an Animated Feature (Mr. Link/Susan). After working in his home country of Canada on multiple animated films and television series, Benoit moved to London in 2006 to become part of MPC's initial character animation team, leading the animation on 10000 BC. He spent the following years at MPC leading and supervising on films such as Clash of the Titans, X-Men: First Class, The Seventh Son and The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader, for which he was nominated for a VES award in the category of best animated character in a live action film. While at MPC’s Animation Department, he worked on such films as X-Men: Days of Future Past, Cinderella, Terminator Genisys, The Revenant, Goosebumps, and The Martian, among others. He is currently working on LAIKA’s sixth animated film, Wildwood.
ARIANNE SUTNER
Producer and LAIKA Head of Production – Wildwood
Arianne Sutner is LAIKA's Head of Production and shares Producer credits with Travis Knight on ParaNorman, Kubo and the Two Strings, and Missing Link. Prior to LAIKA, Arianne produced Animation/FX for Wes Anderson’s The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou and served as FX Unit Production Manager for Steven Spielberg’s War of the Worlds. Her additional credits include James and the Giant Peach, Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, as well as a wide array of live-action and animated television shows, commercials, and shorts.
